ABOUT LEGACY OAKS PRESERVE

OUR LEGACY

Every legacy begins somewhere, and this legacy began in July 2020 when JR Brown and Ben Kennedy purchased 268 acres for the purpose of providing a place for OPFOB. Brown and Kennedy are building a legacy of hope for veterans and first responders, and their own families. OPFOB is a 100% volunteer organization and a 501c3 charity that provides support for combat vets from all services and all times. It is their hope that this legacy will continue to support those who serve our country for generations to come. Funds raised from rentals and services at Legacy Oaks Preserve support the needs and activities of OPFOB.

OUR PROPERTY

The 268 acres include a 5,000 sq ft barn, a firepit, a vineyard, a seven-station skeet range with plans to expand to 13 stations, a 20-acre dove field, woods for turkey hunting, four stocked fishponds, quail woods, 14 deer stands, as well as rifle and shotgun ranges. Lodging is also possible on the property. We have a renovated cabin ready for overnight lodging, a tiny home, and 4 RV hook ups with plans for more of everything including a lodge. The Avenue of Oaks and the Legacy Oak herself are popular places for wedding ceremonies and photography events.

Legacy Oaks Preserve is private property not a public space; the gate is locked when the property is closed.
