Centuries old live oaks draped in Spanish moss greet visitors to this charming wedding and event venue located in Ridgeland, South Carolina. Gorgeous oaks and spacious landscapes surround a charming 50’ by 100’ enclosed barn space. This picturesque venue will inspire event visions of every style. Your event can utilize our indoor space, covered outdoor area, which is complete with an outdoor fireplace and bar, and our three adjacent level lawns ready for your tents. The history of Legacy Oaks can provide a meaningful foundation while the amenities wow your guests.

Our history, Your future

With historic charm, natural beauty, and breathtaking views, Legacy Oaks is the perfect destination to host your special day. We offer customizable wedding packages, so we have the perfect package just for you. Your ceremony can be staged in a variety of locations throughout the property, but our favorites are the Legacy Oak and Freedom Lawn. Each setting is picturesque in its natural state or bring your favorite nuptial arch for the lawn or a floral wreath for the oak to make the beautiful space all your own. Cocktail hour on the Liberty Plaza, around the fire, or on the covered porch followed by an elegant or rousing reception in the barn or on the lawn under your tent would complete the perfect wedding day. Add a rehearsal dinner oyster roast and a Sunday morning farewell brunch, and we have hosted your entire wedding weekend! Customize your experience with our favorite Low Country vendors.

Lodging

The Cottage is located just steps away from the Legacy Oak and the Barn. It is the ideal location for hair and make-up services for the Bride and her ladies. The Cottage can also be the Wedding Suite for the Bride and Groom! We also have a tiny house available as well as an RV hook-up. You can add lodging to your bespoke event package.

Have your next family reunion or company picnic on the grounds of Legacy Oaks. Bring the games, the beers, and the barbecue for the best gathering ever! Have a full day of events for a 50th birthday party that you’ve been looking forward to for half a century. Bring the kids and the dogs for the camp out. If you can dream it up, we can probably make it happen.

CLASSES

If you have never experienced the outdoor adventures we have available, take a class with your friends. We offer Women on Target, Sporting Clay Coaching, and Archery Coaching. Enjoy your event and learn a skill!

ACTIVITIES

Spoil your family and friends with fun activities for your wedding or reunion. Schedule a two hour session for your group at the Skeet Range, Rifle Range, Pistol Range, or Archery Range. Enjoy a guided tour of the fields and forests on ATVs for up to four people, or be more adventurous and book an ATV Course and All-Terrain Adventure! Do you have more time? Book a hunt for quail, dove, deer, coyote, hogs, or varmints during the day or a special night ops hunt with thermal and ATV. Ready to relax? Enjoy in-shore or off-shore fishing.
